How Do You Spell Relief? T-R-U-S-T
God bless you, and hello again! Here we are several months from our last post, December 2024, “For Heaven’s Sake, Just Push!” That post considered the pain and transition of the last few years for myself and so many others (and questions about all that.) Anyway, I’m not deadline oriented, obviously. It’s more about, “Did Abba say anything?” And that He did!
So, before I give the experience, please allow me to share the ultimate answer He gave me. (I always read the last chapter first to see if it’s worth spending time on a book!) My problem was I had been relying on my own strength for life and battle, rather than putting all my trust in and focus on Him, His love, His power and His faithfulness. Church people can do that – use all the weapons of our warfare and can sometimes forget that the Commander-in-Chief has already won the victory.
So, I was fighting from the wrong mindset – trying to win a victory rather than maintaining the victory he already had won (i.e., health, joy, purpose, etc.) He told us, “It is finished.” I was being distracted by the pain. I was not taking my authority over the problem. And the first place to take authority should have been over my own thought life! Now it was time to reset, to fully return to thoughts of my First Love, our Lord. (From there, everything else eventually resolves as a by-product. “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you.” Matt 6:33) And this instruction was His mercy and grace toward me. So now, onto how He began this part of our journey…
He used what I could relate to right then. He stated, “Pray for the health of your family, friends, church, etc.” That was a little scary! “Father, why health???” Answer – “Because most people are battling pain or health issues to some degree.” These are not necessarily serious ones, though far too many are, but sickness and pain are not part of our covenantal inheritance for sure. Sickness needs to go because Jesus died to free us to enjoy abundant life. It’s that important to Him! And the wearing down of the saints is a big, satanic tactic. We’ve all prayed for healing and deliverance for years and the Lord has performed notable miracles and mercies. (Please refer to our “Praise Reports” section, and also our blog post “Be Made Whole” from August 27, 2023.)
Anyway, an ungodly fear came, “Oh no, is there some imminent threat?!?” I usually rebuke that right there, but obviously didn’t! My “fight or flight” went into overdrive. But then He said, “Just pray in tongues and take Holy Communion every day.” Thank God – it went out of my hands and back into His! Right where our issues belong!

He already did the work and then He rested. We hear, obey, then rest and receive! Aaaah, yes! Everybody take a deep breath. He was simply trying to help free me and others. He explained that in the First Covenant, at the Last Supper, His final gift to us was His own Body and Blood. It is to be freely received by believers until He comes again. And then, the gift of the Holy Spirit with the power of praying in tongues was His first gift to us in the New Covenant. Talk about the best of both!! Therefore, His admonition made great sense. If satan can push symptoms and ungodly medical reports onto our bodies, and doubts into our minds, he can catch us in his trap to produce fear and then bondage.
But God is chasing after us to calm and deliver us. It is His Perfect Love that casts our fear. And His love has set a table before us in the presence of our enemies (sickness, debt, fear, anger, etc.) On that table is bread and wine, His Body and Blood. The simple act of eating an apple caused the curse. The simple yet profound act of eating the Bread of Life can release you from the same trap. Eating the Bread is partaking of the very health of the Risen Christ. And drinking the Blood breaks every curse. And so I began to do that, as He had directed, and things started to get better. Still there was a lingering unrest and pain, both emotionally and physically!!
Okay, so here’s one of the things I absolutely love about God – He, of course, knows you have a problem and He knows it’s root before you do, and He knows the solution He already has provided. For me, I’m rarely ever sick but if I am, He eventually gets the spiritual cause of it through my ungodly thinking, and I get set free after the battle of bringing my thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5.) It never occurred to me that I had gotten snared and trapped (as I stated in the “Just Push!” post) by receiving hurt and rejection, an open door to the enemy. And, by the way, the insensitive words and behaviors truly occurred.
As I had asked God one day, “Am I offended?” He replied, “Yes.” “Why?” I continued. He replied, “Because people are offensive.” No excuse for that either! But I got “touchy.” Agape love, which is always the remedy, is not “touchy” (1 Corinthians 13.) I defended my attitude to the Lord and said, “Well you know, Lord, I’m really sensitive.” He said, “Actually, you’re touchy. Sensitive is when you care about the other person’s feelings. Touchy is when you focus on your own.” I knew that meant “dwell” rather than “quickly deal with.” Dwelling leads to self pity, anger, stress and, in lots of cases, illness. (“You will prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers.” (3 John 1:2) So now, we’re getting closer to my problem and solution. I had not been enjoying His love but rather focusing on disappointments and other people. And faith works by His love. And worse yet, I’m offended with the actual Body of Christ!
He once said to me, “Hey, that’s My Body you’re talking about!” I then had a vision of His headless body on the left, and His own Head on the right. He said, “Do you think that’s what I look like?” When we talk about His Body, we’re bad mouthing our Savior! Pure and simple! When we’re offended by the Body, we are, in essence, offended by Him. This does not mean we shouldn’t have respectful dialogue, but it should, hopefully, lead to loving reconciliation.
So, this leads me to the Lord’s purpose (always deliverance and healing.) Two weeks ago, a friend referred me to a video by Prophet Jim Goll. He recently experienced a deeply similar issue with bitterness and anger, brought on by his disappointment with some church hierarchy and friends. Simultaneously, he suffered physical and emotional issues. (See his video of March 12, 2025, titled “A Visitation and Warning: Speak to the Rock, a Prophetic Key to God’s Promise.”)
In the video he recalled he had a vision or encounter with Moses who explained why he himself hadn’t entered the Promised Land. One of the reasons was disappointment in not getting God’s promises sooner (Numbers 20) which led to disobedience by his not speaking to the rock as God had commanded him to do. The first time, he was commanded to strike the rock. The second time, the Lord directed him to only speak to the rock, representing His grace which would be obtained by the future sacrifice of the the Messiah. His anger misrepresented God’s judgment of sin after the Messiah’s Blood would be shed. Instead, Moses moved in shame and blame against God’s people, and rather than calling them “chosen” as God does, he called them “rebels.” He used the “rod of his tongue” against the people of God, and disqualified himself from God’s destiny for him which was to enter the promised land.
According to Jim Goll, Moses told him that this is a warning to the people of THIS GENERATION. It is to those who have seen signs and wonders already, and know the things God has promised are coming soon. These will be the days of the greatest move of God, where the Glory of God will visibly appear upon His people. It will be a movement upon children, where signs and wonders will be their bread…angelic visitations…a back to Jerusalem movement…the raising from the dead, thirty people at one time…watch Egypt…blessing for Japan, Indonesia. But to be involved fully, we must repent and follow Jesus.
So then, we are being reminded to have an awesome, reverential, loving respect for God. We are to love one another as Christ loves us which manifests in forgiveness and tenderness. As self-focus and self-protection yield to a focus on the love of God for us, we can then choose His way of loving ourselves and others. From this secret place, we can live in the peace and protection of Psalm 91.
For some of us, we have been being made aware that we have a hidden distrust of God’s love and faithfulness. And this is the root of fear and unrest with all its ugly fruits. BUT GOD – is cleansing and preparing us to partner with Him to embrace a deeper humility and with that, the deeper revelation of our righteous authority which comes through Him alone.
So now, that brings me back to “speaking in tongues,” as the Lord had instructed me to do. Jesus Himself said believers would speak in new tongues, as was given on Pentecost (Mark 16:17.) The Gift of Tongues allows us to communicate directly with God (1 Cor. 14:2.) We pray the will of God which edifies and builds us up in faith and love (Jude 20.) I had been lacking in both. And James 3:8 says, “But the tongue no man can tame.” However, the Holy Spirit, in and with us, can.
Can you imagine a church with more tamed tongues? It helps us to love unconditionally and pray the will of God, and to receive more personal peace. And satan would have no idea what’s happening. It’s great when the enemy doesn’t have the battle plan. He does, however, know that the battle plan was always “agape love” – absolutely unconditional – as in God’s love for us! That love totally decimated satan and his power at the Cross. Satan still uses the same tactics of lies, division, and offense to enable his plan for our destruction. God still has the same “beyond nuclear” weapon to destroy satan’s abilities – that being the boundless, irrevocable, agape love of the Godhead.
Now our decision must be, to whom will we yield our mind, will, emotions and tongue? So, here’s the truth and here’s the hope. We can step out of the responses of the natural man – fear, hopelessness, anger, disappointment, etc. We, as the Church, have the covenantal power to know God as He truly is – living in and through us, here and now. We have His ability to live a life of purpose, joy and peace and to affect others by it. How? We recognize, through humility, that His righteousness has become our own through the Blood of Jesus and His indwelling Holy Spirit. We must bring our thoughts captive to His thoughts.
Decision made! Let’s live as the newborn man from the Heavenly realm. The Father invites us to do that, even now. The authority and blessings of Heaven already have been provided and already have begun (John 17.) He has enabled us, and He will perform it all (Philippians 1:6.)
With love,
