Demons Are Real! - Good News ROC

Early on in my personal journey, when I was separated from my husband for a season, I thought that he was the enemy. That lie is one of satan’s favorite strategies. But Ephesians 6:12 makes it very clear that people are not our enemy. “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of the darkness of this world and spiritual wickedness in high places.”

Soon into our journey our prayer group began to learn about the weapons of our warfare and who the real enemy is. We began to learn about the authority of the believer through Kenneth E. Hagin, John MacMillan and Kenneth Copeland, to name a few, and that Jesus secured the authority for us by His death and resurrection. Mark 16:17-20

We learned that we are seated with Him in heavenly places and, from that position of victory, we have His authority to speak the Word of God and the power of God, inherent in that Word, will accomplish it. As we practiced living from that position, in heavenly places, things began to change. Those changes did not come, however, without challenges from the enemy.

Facing Real Demons

I personally had two 3-hour battles with demons after taking authority over them (such as the shaking of the covers on my bed, visible apparitions, etc.) Both encounters happened at night. The enemy really objected to my kicking him out of our lives! By God’s grace, as I commanded them to leave, the demons eventually backed off their intimidating tactics, victory was mine and I was never harmed.

I am not saying this to scare you and, trust me, this does not happen to everyone. It is better to know that demons are real and that, as a born-again child of God, we have the power in our mouths to speak His Word and stop his bullying. God’s people perish for lack of knowledge. The lack of knowledge of His loving purpose to protect us and our families can lead to a powerless apathy and conformity with the world. If you have been born again, then you are not of this world and not only has Jesus given you power but he has authorized you to use His Name!

When you take your authority over the enemy, by the way, your safety is guaranteed. The Lord says in Luke 10:19 KJV “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

To God be the glory, my husband did come home. He continues to serve God today and has the anointing for deliverance and healing. For years he was blessed to be mentored by three great men of God: Pastor Ron Domina Sr., Pastor Jurjen Hoomans and attorney / lay minister Mr. John Deal. They helped many men and my husband, in turn, has been able to do the same for others. Men need other men.

My prayer is that all of our spiritual leaders would equip their congregations to fight the good fight of faith. Give us the tools! Our part is to submit first to God and then those spiritual leaders that He puts in authority over us and, especially, to pray for them.

Don’t Do The Devil’s Work!

We have to stop doing the work of satan, who accuses the brethren day and night. Revelation 12:9-11 The pastors and the sheep are all the brethren! Let’s love and encourage one another in learning how to hear from God. Hebrews 10:24,25 Sheep have ears and the Lord says that we know His voice! John 10:15 MEV

“My [Jesus} sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. John 10: 27,28 KJV

We are simply sheep with gifts and callings, jointly fit together to show His Glory. Ephesians 6:14-16 TLB It is time that we recognize who the real enemy is, get together under the Commander in Chief (God the Father, the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit) and humbly, obediently follow Him as one body. As we do that, watch us take dominion as He intended us to do!
